What This Dashboard Is For
You can use the dashboard to change the words, photos, contact details, portfolio pictures, and reviews
that appear on your website.
If you can type into a box, paste a link, or upload a photo from your phone, you can use
this page.
Before You Start
- Click the section you want at the top of the page.
- Make your changes.
- Press the save button at the bottom of that section.
- Refresh your website to check the change.
Tip: Small changes are best done one section at a time so it is easy to check what has
changed.
Contact Details
This section controls the practical information your clients use to contact you.
- Place Name and Address: Change these if your salon name or address changes.
- Email and Telephone Number: Update these if you want clients to contact you in a different way.
- Google Maps Link: Paste your map link here so clients can tap straight through to directions.
- Facebook, Instagram and Booking Links: Update these if your social pages or booking page change.
When you finish, press Save Contact Info.
Hero & Brand
This section controls the main images people see first on the website.
- Site Logo: Your main logo at the top of the homepage.
- Top Right Accent Image: The smaller photo shown near the top of the homepage.
- About Image: The portrait photo in your "Meet Angela" section.
To change a photo, tap the upload box and choose a new image. To remove a photo, tap the small
x on the image.
There is no separate large homepage hero image anymore, so these are the only main images
you need to manage here.
Homepage Text
This section controls the words on the homepage.
- Hero Section: The small location line, the main headline, and the opening paragraph at the top.
- Services & About: The service titles, service descriptions, and your personal introduction.
- Contact Section: The wording near the bottom where people are invited to get in touch.
When you finish editing the text, press Save Homepage Text.
Portfolio
This is where you manage your hair photos.
- Add new work: Upload new photos into the right category.
- Star your favourites: Use the star button on your best images.
- Show Starred Only: Turn this on if you want to check which photos are featured.
The starred images are the ones used as featured work on the website.
Reviews
This is where you add or tidy up client reviews.
- Review Quote: Paste the review text.
- Client Name: Add the client's name.
- Reference: Optional, but useful if you want to note where the review came from.
You can also edit or remove reviews that no longer feel right.
If You Are Unsure
If something looks wrong, do not worry. Most changes can be corrected by going back into the same
section and updating the text, link, or image again.
A good habit is to make one change, save it, and then check the live website before moving
on to the next thing.
